Central Irwell Valley - started at 7.30 at Besses o' th' Barn Metro station, this 10km walk enjoys long views of the West Pennines whilst taking in part of the Irwell Way andan old canal, before ending in Radcliffe

Dolomites - camping Colfosco Corvara
Lots of walking, via ferrate, climbing and flying is available from this superb spot about an hour west of Cortina, with a short stroll to either of the two villages of Corvara and Colfosco

Thursday 16 February
Around Foxtwist Green - met at the very busy and 'restaurantised' Plough (SJ 624682) at 7.30pm for a 6 mile stroll on a gloomy evening. [By car take the A54 from Winsford towards Kelsall. At Salterswall bear right towards Sandiway, then take the right fork at Martonsands. The Plough is the next right turn.]
