Homemade soup of the day with garlic and cheese crouton (v) (gf)
Chicken liver pate with cumberland sauce and wholemeal toasts
Smoked salmon with honey and mustard dressing (gf)(GF)

Main Course
Roast turkey or roast topside of beef with seasonal trimmings (can be gf)
Roast vegetable lasagne topped with brie and walnuts with garlic bread and salad garni (v)
Homemade chicken ham and mushroom pie topped with suet crust pastry with chips and vegetables (GF)
Panfried red mullet with mushroom risotto (alternatively with vegetables rather than risotto for a GF version)

Desserts
Homemade chocolate and amaretto trifle
Christmas pudding with brandy sauce
Homemade apple and berry crumble with custard
Chocolate and vanilla ice cream (gf)

NB: Walk details: Start at 10.30 am from the picnic car park just south of Tideswell at SK 153 741.
After an undulating 8 km we stop at The Crispin in Great Longstone for lunch, before returning by a flatter route.
